| Specimen Requirement |
| 3 mL whole blood in lavender top (EDTA) tube. Keep specimen at room temperature, do not freeze. Specimen stability: 1 week ambient, 2 weeks refrigerated. Unacceptable sample types: clotted or hemolyzed blood. Ship same day as collected. Ship Ambient (avoid extreme temperatures), do not freeze. Call lab with questions about other specimen types or stability. Please use CAHDetX requisition if available. |
